Brad Schiele, President & CEO
Nikan’s investment lead Brad Schiele is founder and owner of ATL Group, which includes ATLHeritage Services, ATLWest Communications, and Atlas Geospatial. He has extensive, multi-sector experience in stakeholder engagement, heritage consulting and more. Lessons learned in his work across the prairies drove Brad to seek out opportunities to advance the Indigenous economy.
Soon to be a primary economic engine, the Indigenous economy plays an important role in the future of Canada. The fastest-growing population in the country, Indigenous Peoples are currently underrepresented in the economy. Indigenous economic parity will not only increase Canada’s GDP (NAEDB estimates $27.7 billion/year at minimum) and expand the labour pool, it will also result in significantly lower costs in poverty-related supports (e.g., healthcare, policing, addictions, etc.). Investing in the Indigenous is just good business, for the right reasons.
Through Nikan, Brad is excited to harness resource-sector and logistics- related opportunities that include partnership and equity positions for impacted and regional Indigenous communities.
